GLOBAL SURGE MISSIONS EXPERIENCE

Over spring break God gave me the opportunity to go to the Philippines on a mission trip. The week was eye-opening and gave me a new perspective on missions, worship, and service. To see God’s people in another culture around the world praising Him in another language changes your life.

From camp to KidzJam, there are a lot of good things happening in the Philippines. God’s people are on the move and the Holy Spirit is working through them. I don’t think that’s ever been more evident in what I’ve seen than witnessing several hundred kids accept Christ in one night. And there are 100 of those nights in the year. God is doing incredible things.

I witnessed revival, not wrapped in excess, but in desperate hunger for God. No stage lights, no distractions—just hearts on fire, voices raised to heaven, faith as real as the air we breathe. It was the Church as it is in Heaven: raw, relentless, radiant.

This trip unraveled me in the best way. It stripped away the noise, the unnecessary, the things that never really mattered. It reminded me that faith isn’t found in abundance but in surrender. I saw Jesus move in ways words will always fail to capture, and I pray the fire I encountered there never stops burning in me.
